Taylor Council Approves Manufactured Home Community
Property is at the corner of Papermill Road and Highland
At this time, when there is a housing shortage within our community, the Taylor Town Council took action in their April meeting to address the shortage. The Taylor Town Council approved a conditional use application for a 23-unit manufactured home park off of Papermill Road and Highland Drive.
The owner of the property, Triple G Consulting LLC, a company based out of Scottsdale, according to the Corporation Commission and County Assessor website, got approval to move forward with the development with a few stipulations. The stipulations include the following: first, homes must be at least 20 years old or newer; second, the property owner must construct a wood-in-iron fence around the perimeter; third, the mobile home pads must be above grade; fourth, no parking on the town road; fifth, the property owner is responsible for the small dog park which is part of the site plan; sixth, the grading must be completed to allow for water to run away from the homes; and seventh, the property owner responsible for curb repair.
The Council approved the application 6-1. Councilman Hancock was the only dissenting vote. The project was approved by the Taylor Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously a few days prior to the Council meeting.

My only concern is the traffic. Vehicles entering from the side streets onto Papermill Road usually blow through the stop signs. We have come close to being hit on numerous occasions, then get flipped off. The local officials told us if they did not see it there isn't anything they can do! So how are they going to mitigate this?
