- Judge Peterson requested an officer’s presence at the justice court to help keep the peace. During a civil court hearing, one subject became upset and agitated when, according to the officer, the Judge put him in his place. Subject did calm down without incident. The officer did ask the subject to remove his hat the next time he was in the court room.
- Report at Putter’s Paradise RV Park in Snowflake of someone purposefully shining a flashlight through people’s windows on a nightly basis and that the reporting party would like it to stop.
February 18, 2021
- Report at White Mountain Eye Center on S Main St of someone in the attic. Reporting party turned on the lights and saw someone outside the building wearing a flannel jacket and blue hat acting weird. The reporting party was unsure if the person was male or female. The reporting party advised that she wasn’t sure if the person was still there or not or where they went. Contact made by law enforcement and no one was found.
- Report on Papermill Road of someone pointing a gun at a driver and a passenger. Tyler Meek, 20, of Show Low was arrested for disorderly conduct with a weapon, aggravated assault with a weapon, and threatening and intimidating. Three passengers accompanied Meek and were arrested for disorderly conduct with a weapon. All suspects were booked into Navajo County Jail.
February 19, 2021
- Report of kids in the parking lot behind the high school musical building burning something under a car. STPD responded and discovered the report to be unfounded.
February 20, 2021
- Report of a vehicle on Love Lake Road involved in collision and possibly a dead person inside the vehicle. STPD responded and discovered the vehicle. There was no evidence of a collision and found a 19-year-old from Show Low asleep in the truck. The officer smelled alcohol and discovered the individual to have consumed alcohol. The individual was cited for underage consumption.
- Report of a vehicle that was hit in Walmart’s parking lot. Alleged victim asked for video from the store. She was advised that she must make a report before video can be released. Report was made. The officer reviewed the surveillance and did not observe the vehicle being involved in a collision.
- Response to a single vehicle accident at the corner of Porter and 7th South. The crash was determined to be caused by environmental conditions. No injuries were sustained.
February 21, 2021
- Officer dispatched to house on E ½ North for female subject refusing to leave and being disruptive. Law enforcement discovered Staysha Courter, 32, had valid warrants out of Snowflake Justice Court. She was booked into Navajo County Jail.
February 23, 2021
- Report of a collision on Papermill Road and Centennial. Samantha Rodriguez, 32, of Taylor, was stopped on Centennial Blvd. attempting to turn left onto Papermill Rd. Johnny Cook, 37, of Taylor, was attempting to turn left onto Centennial Blvd. Rodriguez pulled out in front of Cook’s vehicle, causing the collision. Rodriguez was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign on a left-hand turn, a civil violation.
