In their January meeting, the Snowflake Town Council approved the demolition of the former Snowflake High School orchestra building, directly behind the swimming pool. The tiered level room was also used for other classes in later years. Most prominent, Mr. Howard Coltrin taught in this classroom until his retirement in 2001. After Mr. Coltrin’s retirement, the school discontinued use of the building. Near the same time period, the town acquired the building from the school district. It has since sat vacant.
According to Town Manager, Brian Richards, the building has been condemned.
