New Scoreboards for Lobos Softball and Baseball
Scoreboards Expected to be Installed in Time for this Year's Season
Snowflake Unified School District’s School Board approved the purchase of new scoreboards for the varsity Softball and Baseball ballparks. The proposed purchase was an agenda item and discussed in the December governing board meeting.
The scoreboards will replace the existing ones which were initially installed 17 years ago in 2004. Issues with the current scoreboards arose two seasons ago when the athletic department struggled to get them to turn on, let alone operate. The scoreboards were never used last season due to spring sports being cancelled because of Covid-19.
The cost for the two new scoreboards is $32,633.30. The athletic department hopes that they are installed before the first games are played this season. Currently, AIA has the spring sports schedule to tentatively begin March 1.
