Snowflake’s volleyball team capped off a number one ranked regular season and 3A East regional championship Thursday evening at Holbrook. This is the 5th consecutive regional championship that the Lobo program has achieved.
Earlier this week, Snowflake hosted Blue Ridge and held Senior Night, recognizing the seniors on the squad. The seniors recognized include Tayler Hancock, Macee LeSueur, Rylee Wengert, and Kimberlee Eich.
First year head coach, Jamie Robinson, said “we are excited for state! This team is a special one. We have great senior leadership, the best a coach could ask for. We have great team camaraderie. This team fights for each other and works really well together. At some positions, we are young but I have complete faith in every player I put on the court to get the job done.”
Coach Robinson went on to say that “this team has worked hard all season. And I am excited to see them perform this year at state.”
The state tournament bracket will be released on Wednesday, November 3, 2021. The final rankings will be released at that time. The first two rounds of the state tournament will occur on November 6 at Marcos de Niza High School in Tempe. If the Lobos advance, the semifinals will be on November 12 at Skyline High School in Mesa with the final matchup on November 13 at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
