Historic Paper Makes a Return.

Welcome to The Silver Creek Herald! News reporting on our Silver Creek Community including the Town of Taylor, the Town of Snowflake, and the Snowflake Unified School district which has been absent recently. There are two purported newspapers that cover our community: The Holbrook Tribune and the White Mountain Independent. While interesting and informative, both lack coverage on important issues facing the Silver Creek community. Truth be told, Snowflake and Taylor have not garnered much attention from current papers although newsworthy events are occurring.

The purpose of this re-invention of a historic local paper is to provide comprehensive local community reporting. It is the mission of this online publication of, The Silver Creek Herald, to accurately report the news that affects the Silver Creek Valley. Whether that news originates from the local municipalities, local schools, county, or state, it is the intention of this paper to report news that has an impact on this community. Important issues, exciting accomplishments and significant developments are happening right in our own backyard and we want you to know about them. We look forward to gaining your trust.

We will not have a set day for publication. Rather, articles will be placed on our website as news happens.
