Capps Subdivision Abandoned

Current property owners and the Town of Taylor officially abandoned the undeveloped subdivision initially started by Lloyd Capps. Platted as Western Village, the 33 lot subdivision initially began in 1977 but wasn’t developed much beyond the recorded plat. As part of the abandonment initiated by the current owner, the Town of Taylor agreed to abandon the right-of-ways that were provided to the town. The right-of-ways were never utilized by the town and the council approved the abandonment of the right-of-way in their January 7, 2021 meeting. The land is now reverted back to acreage.
