The Snowflake Lobo football squad is entering their 4th season in the 4A Conference and look to improve on their deep playoff run from last year. The Lobos had a perfect regular season before their first defeat in the semifinal round of the state championship tournament last season.
The Lobos will have a new coach. Coach Kay Solomon retired after 10 seasons as the head coach. He is the winningest coach in Lobo history with 99 total wins. Offensive Coordinator Trevor Reddick was hired as the new head coach.
After the Arizona Interscholastic Association’s biennial football realignment, the AIA has placed the Lobos in the 4A Desert Sky region where they will face familiar teams and some new region opponents. Eastmark and Poston Butte will remain region rivals. The Lobos are will also meet Arcadia, Mesquite and Combs.
